So as many of you know I enjoy a good read. Some books I read in the hope of improving my mind (ha), others for the sheer joy of turning the pages of a well printed book.
Imagine my chagrin then, ewhen without warning, Ellis Peters, she of Cadfael fame, threw in the word 'Iambic' in the midst of one of her Mediaevil whodunnits.
This was one of those quickie books as a bit of light refreshment twixt serious stuff.
The fact that I had to look it up should in no way reflect badly on the educational system in Scunthorpe in the late 60's/early 70's.
