Why is it suposed to be a bad luck day?

Fridays, end of the week, weekend frollicks. Does'nt seem bad or unlucky to me.

13 as an unlucky number, 13 is a bakers dozen, wherin you get an extra bun or whatever for free, semms like a good deal, not unlucky.

So how come 'Friday the thirteenth' is a suposed downer?
