.....I'm currently reading a book thats full of 'em, as indeed are most books. The difference here being that with the majority of my reading matter I have no need of a dictionary to be close at hand, but I now find that I do and whether this is the fault of Umberto Eco or his translator I know not, but such is the case.

I will give below an idea as to what had me stumped to varying degrees and sugest that if any reader knows the defInitions for all these words then they would be better off saving the world or mankind,at least, rather than be buggering about reading this tosh.

Should any reader think that I am just some uneducated Oik, I would like to make mention of the fact that I passed both English Literature and English Language 'O' levels at a time when that meant something.

So,I give you:

ATRAXIA
ACROSTIC
ECOMINIUM
ONERIC
PIROGUE
HYPERBOREAN
ADAMANTINE
AQUARIAL
PANTHEISM
TERMAGANT
LUBRICIOUS.

And I'm only halfway through the damned book.

Go on then Eco!  Educate me if you must!

Dennypoos...........................But yet a half filled vessel.
