So tin-pot state, North Korea likes to do a bit of sabre rattling and spend its money on missiles and nuclear bombs. Thus leaving us in the civilised world having to feed a large part of their population. $105,000,000 aid in 2007.
"Fuck the slitty eyed little bastards", may well be the comment from HRH Duke of Edinburgh... and many others. The fact of the matter is that even with the best possible harvest imaginable, Nth Korea can only feed 85% of its population, and that's with maize mainly. Floods in 2007 wrecked that years harvest and led to widespread STARVATION.
So, the dilemma is this,:
Do we stop all aid.? In which case the poorest section of the community starve.
Do we get China to get off its now fat capitalist arse and use some muscle?
Or do we, as seems more likely, do nothing other than to write to the 'Guardian' and 'Blog.co.uk', saying, " ho-hum, what a shame but what can we do?"
We could invade this co-member of the 'axis of evil' (along with Iraq), but they've not got any oil, so that's a non starter.
Dennypoos..........lives outside the range of any ICBMs, and will, when it gets light, photograph a bee on a chive flower, in a thoughtful, caring way.

Who made us in charge of the world anyway? We interfere all over the place and seem to do more harm than good, we shove troops in, lots die the locals hate them, we then withdraw them and a few years later there is little if any noticeable beneficial change.
Maybe we should spend a little bit of time sorting out our own messes first.
